Managing the Health and Well-Being of Our Community through Education

In today’s society, our community’s health raises concern. Many people still struggle with small health concerns and may not know what to do to help themselves. This is why it is absolutely necessary to teach people of all ages about their health. According to the CDC, only 47.5% of all high schools educate their students about health. If more schools start teaching, more people will be able to have better health and well-being.

There are many benefits that come with educating more people about their health. If it is implemented even just in high schools alone, it will help set young people up for success in their futures and they will be able to have sharper analytical and critical thinking skills. They will know how to treat themselves in day to day situations, or at least be aware of their situations and get help as needed.

High schools can enhance the way they educate students about health in a few different ways. Schools can find ways to make health classes more interactive for all students and implement project-based learning. In this way, students will be able to conduct deep dives on new information and research health related topics to help further their understanding and be able to apply it in the real world.

Additionally, the CDC also believes that by improving their health education, students’ health will also be able to thrive as an immediate effect. They believe that schools should be putting greater emphasis on teaching the public about sexual health as diseases and issues stemming from this have become more prevalent today as compared to the past. Doing this allows for the school’s environment to be a safer space for both learning and interacting with other students.

The health and well-being of our community is vital for the success and growth of our society. For many people, it can solve daily inconveniences. According to Southern New Hampshire University, the economic status of our community can be protected if people are able to help themselves during the time of sickness. They will be spending less money for healthcare. There are plenty of advantages if health and well-being are taught to the community, and it is important for the future of the world. We must take initiative to invest in proper education in order to prosper.
